Burton Albion

Burton Albion Football Club currently compete in League One, the third tier of the English football league system.

The Brewers moved to the Pirelli Stadium, from Eton Park, in 2005. The club were formed in 1950 and initially joined the Birmingham & District League before switching to the Southern League eight years later.

A series of promotions saw an eventual step up to the Conference in 2002. Nigel Clough spent seven seasons as the club’s player-manager and led them into the Football League as champions in 2009. Further success resulted in securing the League Two title (2015) and then, incredibly, into the Championship the following campaign. An amazing achievement.
