Sometimes a book comes along that deserves to be put front and centre on our website.

Till I Die is an absolute must-read for any football fan.

We couldn’t put it down!

As an experienced psycologist, Damien knows how the human mind works. And when you combine this with a lifelong love of football, the results are fascinating.

The author travels to far-flung territories, where a passion for the sport can earn you a spell behind bars. He learns about fanatacism on levels it’s almost impossible to comprehend. And, the darker side of the game where it literally is a matter of life and death.

All this is written with a deep compassion and knowledge of the game that shines through on every page, with a wonderful turn of phrase, honed from decades as a sports journalist.

Ecstasy, anguish and unshakeable loyalty.

Football really is more than just a game.

Ten out of ten!
